Baseball season gets underway in just under six hours for the Rangers. The Safeco Field roof appears to be closed at a distant view from the Renaissance Seattle. Downtown is pretty nice here, and Seattle has made a fond first impression -- weather notwithstanding. It's 41 degrees, far cooler than were the Rangers were a week ago, and the forecast is calling for a 30 percent chance of showers. Don't expect that roof to be retracted.
