Seems that Guardado's shoulder is inflamed again, same thing he had earlier this season.
Why he didn't realize that during warmups, before he actually got to the mound, is a mystery. Maybe he thought he could just pitch through the pain.

So what are the Rangers going to do when Blalock is ready to come back? Does anyone believe Washington when he says Davis will go back down? That will be easy if Davis gets cold in the next couple of weeks, but if he doesn't, the fans will mutiny.
