Rangers win 11-10

Ramon Vazquez went from the goat to the hero after hitting a two-run double to win the game. That softens the blow of a three-error night. Vazquez had four hits and four RBI, and C.J. Wilson benefited from a blown save to get the victory. Now the Rangers have to hope Milton Bradley is OK after leaving the game with a strained left quad.

Only 55 more games to go in the season. That probably means another 15-20 more appearances for our "closer". Then I hope Ranger management will admit that Wilson is not the future and someone, anyone, else should fill that role going forward.

The initial idea was a left-handed closer was needed to neutralize the short right field in Arlington stadium--hence Wilson. Forget that criterion, please. Just get someone with a brain that can throw strikes and get people out.
