Nelson Cruz was named the Rangers minor league player of the month for July. Derek Holland was the top pitcher and Jose Felix the top pitcher. Cruz hit .316 with 12 home runs and 28 RBI. Holland, who moved from Clinton to Bakersfield, went 3-1 with a 1.66 ERA in six starts. Felix, the catcher for Clinton, has thrown out 34 of 117 base stealers.
