Don't expect the Rangers to go after Hoffman

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said the Rangers are trying to upgrade their bullpen. That doesn't mean they'll be going after all-time saves leader Trevor Hoffman. Hoffman will not be back with San Diego, and he won't be in Texas either. "We want to fortify the bullpen," Daniels said. "There are a couple of very accomplished closers on the market that I don't think we're going to be serious players for. We'd love to have them, but we're not going to get in that arena. The bullpen is definitely a priority."
