Millwood ready to go

A slimmer Kevin Millwood was at the Rangers media luncheon Tuesday and addressed a few topics. Millwood said as of about six weeks ago, he had lost 12 pounds. Here's what the right-hander had to say about a few other topics.

On the possibility of acquiring Ben Sheets or Randy Johnson: "It can only help. I don't know where that is or what. It can never hurt to have two guys like that."

Did you ever think your conditioning was an issue: "I guess when you struggle people are going to point to something. That's what it was. They want me to lose weight and that's what I'll do. It's not that big a deal to me."

On his name surfacing in trade rumors: "There's nothing I can do about it. I have a little bit of control over that. For the most part, there's not a lot I can do."

On the limited moves the Rangers have made in the off-season so far: "I think sometimes doing less is better. If you're going out and getting jumpy to make trades, you can make bad ones. They've been real smart in making sure they're doing the right thing and that can only help."
