Rangers moving to 105.3 during the week

The Texas Rangers will have their weekday radio games broadcast on 105.3 FM The Fan beginning this season. All weekend games will continue to be on KRLD NewsRadio 1080. KRLD AM has carried all Rangers games since the 1995 season.

The Ranger are also expanding their spring training radio broadcasts from 12 to 18. Fifteen of those will be on 105.3 FM.

“The Rangers are very pleased to make this announcement, and we welcome 105.3 The Fan as our new weekday flagship station,” team president Nolan Ryan said in a release. “The sound, quality, and strength of The Fan’s FM signal will provide a new listening experience for our fans.”

Ryan said the weekend games will remain on AM because of scheduling conflicts. The first spring training game will be broadcast Feb. 26 against the Kansas City Royals.
