Ross Gload had a two-out bases-loaded triple off Eddie Guardado to extend the Royals' lead to 7-2 entering the eighth inning. Pinch-hitter Andruw Jones stuck out in the eighth, leaving him 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in two games.
