MLB.com is reporting that the Rangers and Ben Sheets had a two-year deal in place until a flexor-tendon tear was discovered in his right elbow during a physical. According to ESPN, Sheets is considering surgery that would force him to miss the 2009 season. Calls to multiple members of the Rangers' front office have not been returned.
