Manager Ron Washington set a few things straight this morning:
Doug Mathis will pitch against Cleveland instead of logging two innings in a minor-league game to make up for the absence of blister brothers C.J. Wilson and Luis Mendoza. Jason Jennings is still scheduled to pitching in the minor-league game.
Andruw Jones will also play in the minor-league game to log some extra at-bats. He hasn't played the past two A games, but could pick up one of the starters today against the Indians.
The Rangers could carry eight relievers over the first 10 days of the season. They won't need a fifth starter until April 16. It's possible Scott Feldman could be put in the bullpen to start the season, but Washington said that discussion hasn't taken place.
