Turnbow heading to minors

General manager Jon Daniels just sent word that Derrick Turnbow has agreed to accept assignment to the minor leagues. The right-hander could have opted out of his minor-league deal Thursday, but will instead report to Triple-A Oklahoma City after camp breaks.

He allowed three more runs today for the second consecutive outing. Turnbow said earlier in the day that the Rangers want him to work on his fastball command and his mechanics.
