Mel Didier normally spends his time analyzing players, and especially pitchers, but he gave me a concise scouting report on the Rangers' brand new Class A manager at Bakersfield today.
"Let me tell you something, podnuh," Didier said in his familiar Louisiana drawl. "That Steve Buechele is a good 'un."
A future big league manager? Give him a few years and we'll see.
