Texas doctor Keith Meister confirmed the initial diagnosis on Josh Hamilton's ribs and the Rangers will now wait and see how Hamilton responds to a new mediciation. Hamilton has been sidelined with a strained muscle in his left ribcage. General manager Jon Daniels said Hamilton was given the first dose of the medicine Tuesday and that it usually takes 48 hours to get an idea on whether or not the medicine is working. Hamilton was not in the starting lineup for a third-consecutive night Tuesday and said he was in "extreme pain" before meeting with Meister.
