The Josh Hamilton Comeback Tour debuted in Frisco tonight with Hamilton leading off and batting DH for the Frisco RoughRiders. The first at bat, however, was anything but a rough ride. Hamilton was facing pitcher Brad James, who doesn't seem destined for the big league anytime soon, unless there is some sort of hidden value in a pitcher who entered the game with 39 walks and 35 strikeouts.
So what happens?
Hamilton walks on five pitches. He managed to get the bat off his shoulder one time and fouled a pitch.
In terms of getting his timing back, it wasn't much of a help. Perhaps James will leave before Hamilton's next at bat.
