It's the most since the Rangers struck out 19 times on Aug. 19, 2007, against Oakland. It's just the fifth time in team history they have struck out at least 18 times. The highest total in the majors this season in a nine-inning game before tonight was 16. The Rangers were one of the teams to do that, fanning 16 times in a loss against Kansas City Saturday.
