The five homers hit match a season high. Marlon Byrd has also matched his career high with his two-run homer in the seventh. He has 10 this year. the same as his total for 2007 and 2008. The offense isn't overshadowing the performance of Derek Holland, who has allowed just one hit through seven innings. It was a broken-bat single.

According to the manager, he was on a 120-pitch limit. He threw 118.
