The left-hander from Scotts Valley (Calif.) High School was at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington Wednesday. His immediate hope was to meet Nolan Ryan. He'll have to do it tonight as tomorrow morning he heads to Surprise where he'll start working out with the rookie league team. Erlin had committed to Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. Erlin went 9-1 with an 0.63 ERA his senior year, and tossed a 15-strikeout no hitter.
