The Rangers set a season high for strikeouts

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

It looks impressive in print. But the 18 strikeouts the Rangers had Wednesday night were a season high. They had 16 Saturday, but needed just four more games to eclipse that total. We're trying to find out the last time the Rangers struck out 18 times in a game. The 18 strikeouts are the most in the majors this season.

The team record for strikeouts in a nine-inning game is 19 set Aug. 19, 2007. The all-time record is 21, set Aug. 6, 2007, in a 13-inning game.
