18-10: The aftermath

The Rangers are now in a huge must-win situation in their doubleheader today. They will have fresh arms, which is good. Doug Mathis and Darren O'Day figure to be unavailable. And, let's not forget, the Jays love to face the Rangers, especially Adam Lind. Both of his two-homer games have come against Texas. He'll have a hard time topping Monday, as he collected eight RBI. He matched Josh Willingham for the most RBI in the majors this season.

A couple of good things happened in that Taylor Teagarden had a career-high three hits. That was a must for a guy coming into the game with a .192 average. OK, maybe a couple of good things were a little much.

Big doubleheader today. Big. The Rangers will open the day four back in the wild card and six out in the West.

Did I mention Tuesday's doubleheader was big? It will be interesting to see what Dustin Nippert and Brandon McCarthy bring to the table.
