Is there a reason to panic?

I say no. The fact is the Rangers are one game out of the playoffs right now with 43 to go. Thursday's game is huge because the Rangers don't want to open a road trip on a three-game losing streak, especially not one that includes Tampa Bay and New York. But the offense isn't producing when it needs to.

Here are some numbers from the homestand so far

David Murphy - 3 for 21

Hank Blalock - 1 for 23

Andruw Jones - 2 for 11

But the positive to take is the Rangers should have won the last two games. But that doesn't make up any games in the standings.
