Second baseman Ian Kinsler sits again with tightness in his left hamstring. Tonight marks the fourth consecutive game he has missed, and it seems now that the earliest he will return in Monday. Ditto for Frank Francisco, who could be eased back into the closer's role when activated from the disabled list.
The Rangers settled on Scott Feldman to be their starting pitcher tomorrow in the series finale against Seattle. He will be working on three days' rest, though he lasted only 2 1/3 innings Wednesday. Feldman gets the nod over Dustin Nippert, who won three games in eight days beginning July 19 but hasn't pitched since Sunday. The good thing for Feldman? Less rest usually equates to more sink.
