Rangers pick four finalists for hitting coach

Thad Bosley, Gerland Perry, Clint Hurdle and Rusty Greer have been named as finalists for the Texas Rangers' hitting-coach vacancy and will be interviewed next week. Bosley and Perry worked as hitting coaches with manager Ron Washington in Oakland; Hurdle, the former Colorado manager, knows general manager Jon Daniels and is a former big-league hitting coach; and Greer is a Rangers Hall of Fame player, fan favorite, and a coach to college players at Texas Wesleyan and in the Texas Collegiate League.
