Rangers add two left-handers to 40-man

Starter Michael Kirkman and reliever Zach Phillips have each been added to the 40-man roster, bringing the total to 37 players. Both Kirkman and Phillips split 2009 between Bakersfield and Frisco.

Texas also announced that Michael Young is the 2009 player of the year. It's the fourth time Young has won the team award. He will be honored next January at the team's mid-winter banquet in Fort Worth.
