Rangers sale update

Chuck Greenberg, who is heading the group trying to purchase the Rangers from Hicks Sports Group, has given a brief update on the process on the 30th and final day of an exclusive negotiation period:

"We've made tremendous progress, especially the past couple weeks. We've gotten very close. We have every hope of being done by midnight. If for whatever reason we're not done by midnight, this deal has come way too far for it not to get done, especially when it's in the best interest of everyone involved. Not just the negotiating parties, but the fans, the Rangers and Major League Baseball. Whatever it takes, you can count on us getting it done."
