First, with the injury report. The names on the initial one are Eric Hurley, Toby Hall, Brandon Boggs and Omar Beltre. Beltre is the one of note, as the Rangers are taking it easy on his right shoulder. He was throwing long toss in the offseason from 120 feet. There is nothing structurally wrong and he's already been examined by team doctor Keith Meister. Hurley is throwing two bullpens a week, and Hall is about 10 to 14 days behid the other catchers. Boggs, who had surgery on his left (non throwing shoulder) has done everything but slide and dive.
Matt Harrison looks different. The lefty has slimmed down big time, having lost 30 pounds since last spring. He's excited about competing for a starting spot.
C.J. Wilson spent two days at the Olympics, taking in curling and hockey.
Alexi Ogando is razor thin.
