Bud Selig confident in drug program

Baseball commissioner Bud Selig said the Ron Washington drug test is proof the system works and that Washington has done everything in the program.

"It proves our program works," Selig told reporters in Mesa. "He flunked the test that we give. He has since been tested and will continue to be tested. He doesn't have to be any more, according to our program. He goes also for counseling so he continues to be tested. From my standpoint and our standpoint, baseball's standpoint, the program has worked."
