Josh Hamilton won't play today

Josh Hamilton was scratched from today's intrasquad game because of lingering soreness in his left shoulder. He also did not take batting practice Sunday.

Hamilton was injured Wednesday during the first full-squad workout when he fell during a pop-up drill. He sat out Thursday but returned Friday and Saturday. He was supposed to play left field and bat third today.

For now, the injury isn't a concern.

"We've got a lot of time," manager Ron Washington said. "If this continues four or five days, then we might start to get concerned."
