A few notes from the clubhouse ...

Darren O'Day (back) said he will attempt to throw before the game to see if he might be available tonight. He said he feels much better today than yesterday, when he also felt much better. It seems like this injury won't require a DL move.

Joaquin Arias' back has also cleared up, and he is starting at second base. Something has to give tomorrow, when the Rangers fly to Seattle accompanied by Ian Kinsler. Manager Ron Washington said there have been discussions about who to keep as the utility man -- Arias or Andres Blanco -- but no decision has been reached.

Tonight's closer: depends on matchups, according to Washington. Neftali Feliz is available, though.
