The Rangers have sent Taylor Teagarden to the minor leagues and will give Max Ramirez a chance to catch with the big club. The team also reinstated Jarrod Saltalamacchia from the disabled list and optioned him to Oklahoma City in an effort to get him playing time.
Teagarden had just one hit for Texas and a .037 batting average. Ramirez was hitting .265 in 14 games for Oklahoma City.

It was about time. Absolutely no reason why this move should've taken this long. Salty is damaged goods and Teagarden didn't have a clue at the plate. Both Salty and Teagarden need more time in the minors. It only magnifies the mistake management made in letting Pudge and his LEAGUE-LEADING .411 average leave. This team could be in such better shape with a real catcher.
