A good scouting report on Jarrod Saltalamacchia

Saltalamacchia was behind the plate Thursday night for Oklahoma City's game against Portland. I talked to tommy Hunter a little while ago, and he liked what he saw out of Saltalamacchia, who has struggled at times getting throws back to the pitcher.

"Salty did real well last night," Hunter said. "He got the ball bacl to me. He didn't have any issues last night. It was a pretty smooth game, other than me making some mistakes."

Hunter, who is rehabbing from a strained oblique, allowed six runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. Four of the hits didn't get out of the wet infield in Portland.

this is great news!! i'm going to see the redhawks in portland this weekend and looking forward to seeing his throws for myself. i hope he's back up with the club soon.

Lets see, Salty is doing great working on being able to throw the ball back to the pitcher, I guess tossing it to second base isn't an issue...
