Derek Holland leaves after one-plus inning with injury

Derek Holland faced nine batters, retiring three of them and throwing 43 pitches. He left walking alongside trainer Jamie Reed after an aborted start in which he threw only 19 strikes and didn't get his fastball above 89 mph until after three Twins had batted.

The Rangers are calling the injury left shoulder soreness. Will Tommy Hunter be making his 2010 debut in next weekend?

Holland allowed three runs and the Rangers trail 3-0.
