Nelson Cruz gets cortisone shot

The Texas outfielder experienced some pain running the bases before Thursday's game, and received a cortisone shot for the swelling in his left hamstring. Cruz will still travel with the team to Milwaukee, but will not attempt to run until Sunday because of the shot. He'll still have to work out for a couple of days before going on a rehab assignment, meaning his return to the lineup likely won't come until next Friday's series opener in Houston at the earliest.
