Rangers 3, Marlins 2 (F)

Former Marlins catcher Matt Treanor delivered a two-out, two-run pinch-hit triple in the ninth inning to left the Rangers to a 3-2 victory over Florida on Tuesday at Sun Life Stadium.

Hanley Ramirez swatted a two-run homer in the sixth inning off C.J. Wilson to give the Marlins a 2-1 lead, and Josh Johnson limited the Rangers to just a first-inning run over seven innings.

Josh Hamilton, though, started the ninth with a single against Leo Nunez and stole second base. He moved to third on a one-out groundout by pinch-hitter David Murphy, and Julio Borbon took only his fourth walk of the season.

That brought up Treanor, who crushed the first pitch he saw off the wall in center field to plate Hamilton and Borbon.

Neftali Feliz worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his first save since nearly blowing one Saturday at Milwaukee.

Wilson allowed only two hits in six innings, but he walked six and struck out six as his pitch count balloon.

One of those walks was to Gaby Sanchez with one out in the sxith, and Ramriez followed with his blast.

The Rangers had been clinging to a 1-0 lead they took in the first-inning thanks to three straight two-out singles. Hamilton pushed Ian Kinsler home with the third, a one-hopper into center field.

Johnson, though, allowed only one more hit over his next six innings — an infield single by Elvis Andrus. Johnson, an All-Star and 15-game winner last year, got 13 groundball outs and struck out seven.
