Rangers news and lineups

Sorry it's taken a little longer, but the sales news is slowing down what's going on with the on-field stuff. Don't think the Rangers aren't paying attention to what's going on either. Here's what Michael Young said, “We want to be able to improve our team. It’s been an organizational effort to put us here. We’d like that to continue. You’d like to think the sky’s the limit as far as making our team better.”

The Rangers will be better tonight, with Nelson Cruz back in the lineup batting sixth.

Manager Ron Washington also said he's comfortable using Dustin Nippert as the team's fifth starter until either Rich Harden or Derek Holland are healthy and back. Washington said that comfort level comes because of Nippert's starting experience.

It's pretty comfortating just knowing Rich Harden can't pitch.
