Cristian Santana, a right fielder at Class A Hickory, has been suspended 50 games after testing positive for Formestane, a performance-enhancing drug.
Santana is a former prized catching prospect who has had multiple operations on his right arm and was forced to become an outfielder. He has 11 homers for the Low A club this season.
Formestane can be used to suppress estrogen produced from using anabolic steroids.
