The Rangers have decided to give Rich Harden the start Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels, and have shifted Scott Feldman to the bullpen.
"Feldman's got the experience in the bullpen," Texas manager Ron Washington said. "Harden is ready to go. We had to make a decision. Both of them are going to be on this club. We're going to give the ball to Harden, and Feldman will help us out in the bullpen."
Feldman, the Rangers pitcher of the year in 2009 after winning 17 games, has struggled this season. He's 5-9 with a 5.46 ERA. Harden is currently on the disabled list with a strained left gluteal muscle. He made four rehab starts. He made 13 starts before the injury, going 3-3 with a 5.68 ERA.
