An angry exchange erupted in the corridor between Greenberg-Ryan’s top attorney, Tom Lauria, and the counsel for the chief restructuring officer, Lou Strubeck.
The two had just left the courtroom after hearing that the Cuban-Crane bid was $25 million above Greenberg’s starting bid of $306.7 million, the cash portion of a $510 million that includes assumed liabilities.
But the team’s attorney told Judge Nelms that the $25 million would be discounted and so the exact difference between the offers was not immediately available.
Lauria apparently was upset by the bidding process and because his side would get less than 12 hours to examine Cuban-Crane’s bid.
As Strubeck passed in the hallway, Lauria spat, “You’ve been trying to stick it up my a— for the last hour."
That set off an exchange of F-bombs.

What about putting what in who's what? On a sidenote, I foresee a HUGE PR backlash against Cuban if he wins and doesn't retain Ryan. HUGE! But either way, Tom Hicks goes bye bye, which is REALLY what this team needs.

I can't stand Mark Cuban. He's gonna move them to Frisco, San Antonio, or Indianapolis... For those of us in Tarrant county where the Rangers located, its going to be a huge blow if Ryan Greenberg don't win.

I am sure Mark will offer to retain Nolan, but it is up to Nolan to stay or go.

Agreed. Cuban backlash could be significant. Can't figure out why he got involved w/ Crane.

One can only that Bud Selig and MLB will not approve the sale

What are you talking about Thomas? Move to Frisco? Or San Antonio? Cuban would rather move the team to Town East Mall in Mesquite than San Antonio. He hates that place.

Agreed - the Rangers aren't leaving DFW, but they'll ultimately leave Arlenden. You can't be in the country's 5th largest TV market and draw those crowds ... it is just too far from the population center.

Let Crane & Cuban have it! I love baseball, but will find another team. Crane/cuban owned team... Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos, ect. The airhogs will be a better brand of ball. I wiil cancel my Foxsw and will never attend another Ranger game!

Serious visigoth55. Jerry world is right next door and btw Arlington is not a small town (400,000) and only 15 miles from both Dallas and ftw.

Nolan to hell with the Rangers go to Houston and purahase the Astros.. It would be so much easier, they are not bankrupt and have a stadium with a roof...

MLB doesn't have to approve them. A Martian could own the Rangers. I don't care as long as the product is good.

Crane's business reputation from the freight business was one of skulldugery and mayhem, sued by the feds for price fixing which caused him to be banned from bidding on business that involved government contracting...
man has a huge ego...same as Cuban....they will not be embraced if they win the auction......I may watch the team on TV because I love the players, but I won't be spending my nickel at the stadium!

So how does the strike zone change when Dirk is batting for the Rangers, oh wait the umps have a moving strike zone, go Cuban, throw out Nolan, lets have real baseball for a change.

sounds like yet another bitter Philadelphia Eagles fan still in search of that elusive one (1) Super Bowl title...

Dallas people all think they are the center of the population. Go fly somewhere on Southwest Airlines, they also believe that the world revolves around the center of Dallas, and take a look at a D/FW Map while you're gone.

doesn't the world revolve around us Texans!! STRONG!!! We are going to go to the play offs!!! woohoo! GO NOLAN! CUBAN go back to basketball and leave the integrity of the good ole fashioned baseball alone!
