Friday Rangers post-game nuggets

The Rangers have a lead of 9 1/2 games for just the third time in club history. Once was in 1999 and the other was earlier this year. The biggest lead in club history is 10 games.

The Rangers finished with six infield hits, pushing their season total to 147. That's the third-highest total in club history and the highest total in the majors.

Tommy Hunter has won seven-consecutive decisions at Rangers Ballpark. Kenny Rogers (1995) was the last pitcher to do that.

Over the last 15 games, Vladimir Guerrero is hitting .328.

On the rehab front, Dustin Nippert pitched one inning for Frisco, allowing one hit and strking out three. Cristian Guzman went 2 for 3 in that game with two RBIs. Nelson Cruz went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
