Rangers have not signed top remaining draft choices

General manager Jon Daniels said that right-handers Luke Jackson and Justin Grimm remain unsigned and have not agreed to terms with only four days to go until the deadline to sign players selected in the June draft.

Jackson, the No. 45 overall selection, was in town Wednesday for a physical. Baseball America reported that Jackson and the Rangers had agreed to a $1.557 million signing bonus that is more than twice the slot amount. Grimm, selected in the fifth round, could be in town this weekend for a physical.

Daniels said that the hope is to sign both players by Monday's 11 p.m. deadline.
