Right-hander Frank Francisco has been slowed in his recovery from a strained latissimus muscle on his right side and is not a candidate for the American League Division Series.
A third MRI, taken Tuesday, showed improvement in the muscle but not enough for him to start throwing off a mound, said manager Ron Washington. Francisco will be sent to Arizona to continue his rehab, said Washington, and could be a candidate for the postseason roster should the advance to the championship series.
