The Rangers reached into their medical bag of tricks and came up with two cortisone shots for Josh Hamilton's ribs with the hope of getting the All-Star center fielder back in the lineup. He had the shots Wednesday night, and he is hoping that by Saturday he should be able to tell if there is any improvement.
He looked to be feeling discomfort as he sat in a chair and answered questions from the media. His spirits, though, are high. "I'm not going to let this get me down," said Hamilton, who hasn't played since he crashed into the wall in right-center field at Target Field on Sept. 4.
