Josh Hamilton was bouncing down the hallway at Rangers Ballpark Thursday, saying he was ready to play and quit talking about his injury.
He's going to have that chance Friday, as he'll start in the outfield with the plan for him to play six innings. He'll play the entire game Saturday as the Rangers designated hitter and start in the field again Sunday, playing the entire game. That should give him around 10 at-bats before the playoffs.
Hamilton hasn't since leaving a Sept. 4 game against Minnesota after crashing into the wall in center. He ended up with two stable rib fractures.
