Rangers Thursday postgame notes

David Murphy is hopeful he'll be ready for the ALDS, but he's not sure. Rest over the next few days will be important. One thing that concerns Murphy is in his left leg, which is where he plants.

As for the game . ...

The 11-game lead is the largest in club history.

At the 11:30 a.m. rally tomorrow at Rangers Ballpark, Mitch Moreland and Darren Oliver will be the player's speaking.

The 89 victories by the Rangers are the most since they won 89 in 2004. Another victory will be just the club's fourth 90-win season in club history.

Cliff Lee finished the year with the second highest striekout to walk ratio in modern history at 10.28.

Michael Young now has five career 90 RBIs seasons.
