Rangers won't play David Murphy this weekend

The good news for the Rangers is that David Murphy's groin strain is mild. They don't want to push things with Murphy though, and will rest him the entire series against Los Angeles. They want him to be healthy for the playoffs, and not the regular season.

Murphy left Wednesday's game after hurting himself running to second on a Bengie Molina foul ball.
