Bengie Molina talks catching gear

The Twitter world (that's @aandro and JeffWilson_FWST) wanted to know what was up with Bengie Molina making a switch in catching gear during the game.

Molina was asked about it following his big game, and here's what he said happened.

"I got a foul tip on the leg on a shin guard and it broke and kind of cut my leg," Molina said. "I couldn't play like that, so I had to get a new one."

That's two nights in a row where Rangers equipment has been a hot topic. Monday there was concern as to why Elvis Andrus and Cliff Lee had no red buttons on top of their cap. The simple answer is they both fell off sometime during the season. Andrus didn't even know his was missing.
