Bumgarner escapes Rangers' first threat

The Rangers' offense made a little noise in the seventh inning but still find themselves being shut out by Giants left-hander Madison Bumgarner. Josh Hamilton reached with one out on an error by Juan Uribe and went to second on a two-out single by Nelson Cruz. Ian Kinsler, though, flied out to left field to end the inning. Hamilton was the first Rangers base runner to get in scoring position.

Darren Oliver is back for the eighth. He'll like face only the leadoff man in a left-on-left matchup and be replaced by Darren O'Day.

Due up for the Giants: Huff (1 for 3, HR, 2 RBIs), Posey (0 for 3), Ross (0 for 2, BB).
