Leadoff man singles, but Hunter gets out of 1st

A good omen for the Rangers, perhaps, is that Rays leadoff man John Jaso singled to start the game. In both Rangers victories this series, the leadoff man singled. Tommy Hunter didn't buckle, striking out Ben Zobrist and getting Carl Crawford to hit into a 3-6-3 double play to end the inning. The speedy Crawford bounced into two double plays during the regular season.

Due up for the Rangers: Elvis Andrus, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton.
