Rangers' Murphy good to go

The Texas outfielder said he surprised himself during Tuesday's workouts, feeling as good as he did. Murphy participated in all drills and had no problems with his sore left groin.

He said he'd be OK if he had to start in Tampa, but was told that his role over the first two games would be as a bench player.

"I ran pretty hard," he said. "I can't say I ran 100 percent, but I ran good enough that if I had to play the outfield or run the bases, it's good enough. I don't think anybody expects me to be 100 percent after six days."
