Tuesday Rangers notes

Texas manager Ron Washington indicated that David Murphy would be on the postseason roster. Washington said he'd be fine, and he wouldn't start until Game 3 in Arlington anyways. He could pinch hit in Tampa Bay, but he's not slated to start.

Julio Borbon will start Game 2 in center for the Rangers.

Tampa Bay third baseman Evan Longoria, who has been bothered by a quad injury, said his leg is about 85 to 90 percent.

Texas radio play-by-plan man Eric Nadel is a finalist for the Ford Frick Award.

Texas designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero did not win the AL Comeback Player of the Year award. That honor went to Minnesota pitcher Francisco Liriano.

Washington said the Rangers would wait until Wednesday morning to announce their postseason roster.
