Alexi Ogando said he felt some pain in his left side after he got Buster Posey to ground out to start the sixth. He pitched through the pain during his strikeout of Cody Ross, but it was too much during the at-bat against Juan Uribe.
Ogando will have the left oblique examined Monday, but if the diagnosis of a strain is confirmed, he said he's done for the World Series.
The Rangers can replace Ogando on the roster, with Dustin Nippert one of the candidates. He's a right-hander who can give the Rangers some length.
